Professional Work

Cincinnati Sports Club

Content Creation Internship

This Fall I transitioned into working as the content creation intern for the VP of Sales and Marketing at Cincinnati Sports Club. I worked to create messaging that kept members informed about important updates and engaged in activities/events. My main duties ranged from administrative work to creative projects. This semester, a lot of my projects included making graphics and videos in Canvas to easily communicate to members. I additionally took photos and videos around various parts of the club and organized them in the clubs Flickr library. I also creating how-to and directional videos about the new club software and new club app.

Social and Events Intern

This past Summer, I worked as a Social and Events Intern at Cincinnati Sports Club. My responsibilities included assisting in coordinating programming for the club including Fab Fridays, Tuesday Tastings, Learn n Sips, Game Nights, and more. From this internship, I got to contribute to the club's social well being by promoting mixing with other members. I also got the opportunity to plan and be apart of so many entertaining family events. From this experience I have worked with vendors and other staff to carry out the best programming we can give to members of the club. Additionally, the clubs value on data has allowed me to study our attendance rates and gain feedback on our events in order to make adjustments throughout the summer to best serve the members.

Fab Friday Matrix

Event planning for each Fab Friday was tracked using an excel sheet for themes, check requests, activities, entertainment/vendors, and what intern is the lead that week.

Fab Friday Attendance

This project compared attendance from the past few years for the general managers meeting of the summer. This showed an average of 708 attendees and an increase of 47% from 2023.

Event Sheets

- Over the course of the summer, each of the five of us interns got the opportunity to oversee four out of 16 Fab Fridays the Socials and Events Team held.

- I got to oversee Fab Friday 5/31, 6/28, 7/26, and 8/30.

- To keep procedure over Fab Friday's consistent, we created an event sheet for each Friday laying out all specific details of the event

- This is the event sheet of the first Fab Friday I led which was our Beach Party theme. Since this set up sheet we have improved the event instructions even more

- A breakdown of staff, instructions, and the specific layout of event space was very helpful for everyone to be on the same page

    Survey Results

One of the clubs values is constant improvement therefore, data collection and sending out surveys after each of our social events is very important. We use these responses to provide solutions to problems we did not initially intend during events and pivot plans for upcoming events.

Coding responses from surveys using a likert scale of 1-5 for each category of food, music, activities, how likely members are to recommend the event to friends, how likely they are to come again, and their overall experience allowed us to collect the sum and averages so we can study how we did week to week.

    1= poor, 2= fair, 3= satisfactory, 4= very good, 5= excellent

    OR

1= very unlikely, 2= unlikely, 3= neither like nor unlikely, 4= likely, 5= very likely

Individual responses to what members liked best and least were also very encouraging as to what we were doing good each week and were additionally very helpful in leading us to better improve in specific areas. We noted all suggestions about vendors, activities, and bands that members liked and disliked for future events.

A copy of each of these survey result sheets was delivered to the CEO Tom Fiorini, GM Marco Florini, Assistant GM Sean McClain, Club Manager Heather Luttrull, Cafe Manager Heather Herlinger, Operations Manager Jordan Croop, and the Socials and Events Manager Evan Meyer.

    Food Trucks

Food Trucks were organized to provide convenient and exciting food options to members at the pool but could also be purchased from by anyone using the club.

We organized a variety of food trucks to come on Thursdays from 6-8 which provided food during our trivia night which take place out by the adult only pool. We additionally had food trucks come on Saturdays and Sundays from 11:30am  to 3pm which are very high traffic times. This took some of the service strain off the outdoor cafe and gave members new and exciting food choices from week to week.

The matrix we used for planning which food trucks are coming and if we had gathered all the paperwork we needed from each truck (Service Agreement, Copy of Operations License, and a copy of their COI).

    Service Agreements

For every vendor, entertainer, food truck, or business we had come do service at the club we had to make sure we had a filled out service agreement from which legally covered the club from any liability.

    Check Requests

The paperwork we ask vendors for is very important for liability purposes but also for purpose of creating a check request sheet for our accounting department to be able to write a check to be ready on the date of the event. This example is a check request for one of our frequent vendors, A-1 Amusement and Party Rental who we often rent bounce houses from.
